Hog Hunt in Southwest Mississippi:
Two day hog hunt from stands or blinds over high hog traffic areas. Whether you are a novice or experienced hunter, you are invited. This hunt is limited to 8 women hunters and I currently have 7 spots available. Please see IMPORTANT information below on how to secure your spot on this hunt.

March 6 & 7, 2010 with hunters arriving at camp on the afternoon of March 5th.

Location and Lodging:
The hunt will be on 1000+ acres of privately leased land in Liberty, Mississippi, Amite County. Hunters will stay in campers and camp houses that will be provided on the premises.

The hunt:
Friday: Arrive on Friday, mid-afternoon or in time for dinner. We will be assigned campers for lodging. We will have the opportunity to sit around a bonfire and visit as a group after dinner.
Saturday: We will hunt Saturday morning early, return to camp for brunch/lunch by mid-day, then return for an afternoon hunt.
We will have the opportunity to ride ATVs on the property’s road system with the property managers during the mid-day lull or you can stay at camp and rest or visit with others. The hunters will also have the discretion to hunt all day if they so wish.
We will return from the afternoon hunt to enjoy a wonderful dinner prepared by our hosts from Talkhunting.com. It is nice to know that the men are going to have to make dinner for the women for a change—I know they can cook too, I heard the rumors. I am trying to talk Bubba into making his famous Mud Bug “Crawfish” E’toufe!!
Sunday: We will hunt early Sunday morning and come in mid-day for lunch or early afternoon and depart after our hunt.

The guides will not actually be guiding hunters in the field unless a hunter request one to sit with them; however, the guides will insure that we get to and from our stands safely. Please let me know in advance if you would like for a guide to sit with you.

The cost for this hunt is $75 per hunter. This money will be applied toward food, drinks, paper goods and ice for the entire weekend.

IMPORTANT: The $75 fee will secure your spot on this hunt on a first come-first serve basis and I must receive it by February 15th. If you contact me, I will put your name on the list as pending until your fee is received.

The cost of a non-resident license is $125 for a 7-day license for firearm or $125 for archery. If you choose to hunt both it is $125 for 7-day license and $75 for archery permit, for a total of $200. Weapon will be hunter’s choice: gun or bow-or both if you choose.

Important State Hunting Regulations:
It is illegal to bait in aid of harvesting wildlife in Mississippi; however liquid scents may be used as long as it is not a consumable liquid. Hogs are considered nuisance animals in Mississippi and electronically operated calls are legal in the aid of harvesting nuisance animals.

This hunt is not affiliated with any group, magazine, or sponsorship and is a hunt, not an event with silent auction, games and raffles—no frou-frou here—just an actual hunt. I am not a booking agent, nor am I getting a commission or being compensated for coordinating this hunt; I am simply organizing this hunt for other women who would like to participate in a hog hunt. However, we will be filming footage for submission to Up North Journal for the Beyond the Wild series, should you choose not to be included in the footage, you will have the opportunity to let me know that in advance.
